Traditionally come November Issey goes on the road to display our handmade and fair-trade products at some wonderful Christmas events. Although we are lucky that the doors to our shops in Mevagissey have been open for the last few months, Christmas shows and markets are still feeling the effect of Covid and as a consequence we won't be able to be with our lovely customers at our Chalet in Bath or at our stall in Truro. However, as is often the case with challenge comes opportunity. Our shops in Mevagissey remain open (Yeah!!) and the lovely team in Bath have invited us to be part of their virtual Christmas Market. So that's our opportunity... the challenge is getting our website licked into shape!
Perhaps one of the biggest challenges is getting photographs that do our products justice. This has meant a few trips down to Portmellon Cove, Mevagissey Harbour and into my garden. I'm not a great photographer, but modern technology in the form of my trusty iPhone has done me proud and more importantly the help and support of my partner Bob and a few friends and colleagues in the village has been a Godsend... All in all I think I'm getting the hang of things. I'll never be a professional but hopefully the beauty of Cornwall and enthusiasm shine through!
